“In front of the canvas, I play with scale. Addition, subtraction, interplay between figures… the image is constructed. A balance between visual language and the desire to create a mirror of reality is struck here, in the composition. “Situated between these two celebrations, the landscape, in the balance between Nature-Nature and Nature-Artifice, using all the resources of an everyday aesthetic, constructed with language to mirror the nature it betrays and exposes, marks the joint between reason and faith.”

The tree is the chosen icon. I hold the belief that the tree is a strange thing, a highly complex organism that signifies at once order and chaos. This idea brings me to conceive of landscape painting as an open door to a world under construction. My pieces bear witness to the experience of the body in space with a carefully chosen set of elements that tie it to a specific place.”
